Completion of application packet which includes a report card, teacher recommendation, and CSAP. Proficiency in all CSAP core areas is recommended. |
Students are identified as HGT by the District GT Office. Test scores are generally in the 99th percentile range. |

Application Deadlines |
School of Choice, First Round for students not in Morey’s attendance
area is due February 28, 2009. |
High Strides applications are accepted all year, however, if you live outside of Morey’s school boundaries, a first round choice form must be completed with the application. The first round choice applications are ONLY available during the month of January. If you wish to apply after January and you live outside of Morey’s boundaries then you must complete a second round choice form from February 1st through August. |
Application for testing due to the GT Office by December 15, 2006. Notification of planned participation in the program due to the District GT Office by March 4, 2009. |

Brief Curriculum Description |
DPS Middle School curriculum that meets the State Content Area Standards. |
DPS Middle School curriculum presented at a more rigorous pace, and more project oriented. This program is for students who are highly motivated. |
An
integrated and differentiated curriculum that provides accelerated
and enriched learning experiences for highly gifted students.
There is no ceiling to the level of instruction a student may
receive. |
